Westfall Structural Engineering, LLC was established on September 30, 2004 and is part of the architecture/engineering building design industry. Our target market is commercial, retail, educational, religious, and healthcare projects. Our primary service is the design of structural systems and components. Important characteristics of this service are accuracy and efficiency in design decisions, continuous training/learning in design codes/techniques/tools, and timely responses to client (architect/owner/contractor) needs. Our intention is that the company will become the structural engineer of choice for local and regional architectural firms and contractors.

Company ProfileOne key employee is Kenneth R. Westfall, who founded and owns the business. Mr. Westfall has worked in this industry for over 12 years, most of this experience was compiled at two companies - Ehlert/Bryan (a small structural consulting firm) and SSOE Studios (a large A/E firm). Mr. Westfall has experience with a wide range of project sizes and types, from small scale renovation and evaluation projects to large, multi-million dollar projects. His engineering education is from the University of Michigan College of Engineering from which he graduated in 1992 (B.S.E.) and 1993 (M.S.E.). His business education was acquired at Eastern Michigan University where he earned an M.B.A in 2003. The second key employee is Thomas G. Martin, Jr. Mr. Martin joined the company in August of 2005. He brings efficient, accurate, high quality presentation to WSE’s structural drawings. In addition, he has a thorough understanding of the impact our designs and details can have on construction sequencing and efficiency. Mr. Martin is pursuing qualification as an FE, and eventually a PE.
